Qasas ul-Anbiya is essentially a narration of the Quranic stories of the Prophets. It also incorporates other elements to its narration, giving it a story-like feel. Parts of the stories are taken from oral traditions, and parts reflect cultural traditions prevalent in the times of the Prophets. Some stories also reflect Biblical and Jewish traditions.
