Not very useful Just go to the nypl website. You can only do very little with this app. The website is far more useful.

Seems to use a lot of battery If you launch this app, even if you close it it seems to keep polling for your location. This makes it a huge battery consumer, so I recommend force closing it when you're done using it.

I love this app! This app works great on my ZTE Merit. It does everything you could think of to make the NYPL experience easy and convienient, such as showing current items borrowed with the due dates, Searching and placing items on hold and having the ability the display your library card bar code on your phone if you forget your library card. Sorry to see others having problems with this app. One thing I would recommend trying before giving up on this app is rebooting your phone after installation - LJ

Takes memory Thought this issue was resolved but I had to clean my SD card to open this. Apparently, it needed memory. Not cool. Otherwise, I'm sadly getting used to it crashing. But when I get to use it, its extremely helpful.

Needs eBook support Works OK for searching and most holds/renews, although some physical items cannot be reserved in the app, either. Baffled that you have to exit the app to checkout/download eBooks... The whole point of eBooks is to use them on mobile devices... If you're going to kick me out to a web browser for 1/2 my transactions, what's the point of the app?

love it (+ suggestions) Congrats. Gives me the info I need, along w/ social functionality. Not sure I need/want the latter but am glad the NYPL is embracing that world. Two suggestions for now: speed it up (it loads too slowly) and offer quicker access to bar code (not as important) ... please and thank you. Love the NYPL.

Was happy to find this but can't RENEW! I thought this app would be a godsend. Unfortunately, you cannot renew items on the Droid and I have had a lot of problems accruing fines because it doesn't work!!! Please fix this. Even the regular NYPL mobile site stinks.
