Methodology (v. 2.1.0) Разработано Yorkshire Surprise |
For bell ringers, change ringers, campanologists:
Now comes with some simple help...
If you can't get anything to happen, try a long press on the recent apps button - some phones do not include a menu button!
It is now also possible to add your own methods - select Method Editor from My Methods.
Use the Method Library to browse the entire CCCBR collection (4 to 12 bell methods) - select methods from the library to appear in "My Methods" for easy and quick access. CCCBR names are sometimes not what you might expect - e.g. Plain Hunt is included, but is called "Original".
View methods with their Bobs and Singles, and practise your selected method with the method tutor and method player. Swipe left and right to see the blue line, touches and the tutor.
Settings allow you to select your practice bell, see extra changes before and after touches, and more!
Bobs and Singles are created using a fully automatic algorithm - errors/omissions are going to occur so point these out and they will be dealt with.
The entire Central Council of Church Bell Ringers method collection (for 4 to 12 bells) is included (May 2013). The method descriptions are included in heavily modified form. As such, the copyright notice is included below:

[2013-08-05] A Google User: Terry Barnard Great app. Works brilliantly on my Sony Xperia Tipo. Small screen but still perfectly legible. Particularly like the fact that you can see what the NEXT work is after a call. This app is one of the reasons I switched to a smartphone. |
[2013-06-04] A Google User: Excellent I can now do everything. |
[2013-05-31] A Google User: Samsung Galaxy Ace I would recommend this app to any ringer who wants a quick and easy way to learn and review their methods, I couldnt rate it higher! |
[2013-05-14] A Google User: I cannot get a line display On samsung note 7000 i only get numbers with no trebble. If i turn of numbers i get no lines just the lead number. This is due to "force GPU rendering" being default set. Cleared by going in to "developer options" in advanced settings and un ticking the box. With this fixed its a 5 star ap. I emailed and got an almost instant set of fix lt instructions. |
[2013-05-14] A Google User: Fantastic This is so easy to use and has improved my ringing already. The reason I got an android phone! |
[2013-04-30] A Google User: A very handy reference source A great and stable app. Very useful for keeping my method knowledge current, often having to learn new things. For five stars would like to be able to create own methods as others have mentioned. Also the app should update the method libraries either automatically or on user request. The library is now about a year out of date. I need to learn Pointon Fen Delight Major for Tuesday and I can't use the app to help with this as the method was first rung on 9th January 2013 and therefore isn't featured in the app library and can't be added by me either. Having said all that I'm grateful the app exists at all, good luck with further development. |
[2013-04-14] A Google User: Love this app Minor request: When I'm practising a method the app is so busy highlighting the arrow buttons that it gets left behind, sometimes by several presses. Is it possible to reduce the highlight time to near zero? Also it would be nice to see the bobs & singles for the rest of the 5/6 bell methods. Still love this app though, thanks. |
[2013-04-02] A Google User: Brilliant bell ringing app Really good to practice and run through methods (esp for me - beginner with plain bob & grandsire). Nice having changeable blue lines and varied bells to practise ringing the method from. Just have to get used to a lack of smiley faces to follow! |
[2013-03-01] A Google User: Great app Easy to use, and great for learning methods. Will recommend. |
[2013-01-16] A Google User: Delighted and surprised! Used this in a last minute learning spree on a train to ringing. Fantastic help. Would be good if description had explained you press the heart to add a method to my methods as it took me ages to realise they were buttons. Result,I learnt ORABS in the nick of time! |
[2012-12-24] A Google User: Navigation is tough on Wildfire I have an HTC Wildfire. Navigation too subtle. Perhaps needs a navigation screen in settings. Can't seem to find out how to put a method in my methods from library or find grandsire doubles or plain hunt. |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: Only lacking one feature I can think of... Excellent app for reference and for learning work. One feature request to go to five stars: bobs and singles in the audio trainer / method player. I find the audio trainer more useful for learning work, but there's no way to learn the bobs and singles in it. |
[2012-11-04] A Google User: Incredibly useful I'm always leaving my method book at home so this will end up being invaluable. No problems with it crashing so it gets 5 stars. |
[2012-10-27] A Google User: Superb Great app. Thanks for making available |
[2012-10-18] A Google User: Great app Great app to help with learning methods, has blue lines, diagrams of bobs and singles, and a couple of different ways for you to rehearse ringing a method. Simple and effective. Tried on Nexus S and Galaxy Tab 2, no problems on either. |
[2012-09-17] A Google User: Amazing app Works flawlessly on the galaxy note , I love this app. Thank you |
[2012-08-23] A Google User: Great support Couldn't find the methods library on HTC one v. Sent an email and got great support. Just have to hold down app selector button. Thanks for the help. |
[2012-08-11] A Google User: Amazingly helpful I find this app great, havent been ringing long enough to understand the meathods well enough but im.learning, it never crashes and i find helpful so i can see what should be rang xD perfect so far, never crashed once, only down side is i dont know how to add to method liabry :S |

[2012-07-09] A Google User: Jonathan Excellent. Useful for up the tower. |
[2012-07-05] A Google User: Really good but.... It crashes a lot, especially listening to the method ringer or when starting it up but other than.that.its a brilliant app... Thanks :) |
[2012-06-19] A Google User: Love it! |
[2012-06-08] A Google User: Top notch app for ringers. Also, very good dev. Responded to mail in 24hrs and published a fix in 3 days. 10 & 12 bell methods will make this a 5* app |
[2012-06-05] A Google User: Hooray Finally found the library! Very confusing to get it though. Now I know where it is app looks good again. Not 5* until I've had proper look though but better than my previous 1*. Will help with my ringing later |
[2012-05-31] A Google User: First Class Excellent after the update - once I'd worked out how to access the method library. The only suggestion that I'd make is to have a selection of methods installed - say the same as the old red 'Diagrams' to begin with and then let the punter customise the methods - it took quite a bit of headscratching to install all the methods I wanted. |
[2012-05-22] A Google User: Much improved! Much improved! Let's see some of the standard 12 bell methods and the cyclic 6 maximus. |
[2012-05-01] A Google User: Perfect Very apt. Would be nice to have the entire method visible without having to scroll. |
[2012-04-30] A Google User: Excellent Update ICS Update has fixed the method selection bug (luckily I was on my favoured number of bells when I updated to ICS so not particularly affected) and added/improved so much more! Glad to see the addition of Plain Hunt as this app is obviously of great use to novices just starting out and need all the practice they can get, even on the simple methods. The list just goes on and on now, if I could learn half of these I would be pleased. Great app, and for free, thanks for all the hard work that has gone in to this (any whingers should try and write their own!). I wish we'd had this sort of thing 20 years ago when I was starting for the first time, I might have continued further and been half decent by now. |
[2012-04-30] A Google User: Impressive! It's great to be able to refer to the Bobs and Singles. |
[2012-04-16] A Google User: Just what I've been looking for Really useful for learning methods and easier to carry around than any of my books. |
[2012-03-31] A Google User: Methodology Method selection screen corrupt on ice cream sandwich |
[2012-03-23] A Google User: Fantastic Great app. Loads of methods, three ways to learn or let your phone ring it itself! Brilliant ! |
[2012-03-04] A Google User: Excellent ! Given the system reaction time tendency to be a tadge slow back & hand, but much clearer than the diary. Will be using as a teaching aid. Well done & thanks. |
[2012-01-19] A Google User: Useful app. Great for learning standard methods, would benefit from a toast tutorial type notification re swiping left/right. UI functional, rather than beautiful, more methods needed esp Caters+ (allow users to add by place notation?) |

[2012-01-16] A Google User: Brilliant Thanks, really great app. Use it all the time on practice nights when there's a method suggested and a general dive on the diagrams book occurs. Can just sit back and use this. TYVM. |

[2011-06-29] Simon Farrar: Poor selection of methods, standard 41 s minor missing. Support for higher numbers needed. Chester has incorrect lead end!! |
[2011-05-15] A Google User: Methadology Been using for a few months learning Bobs & Singles in Grandsire and have found it really useful. A few niggly points but I'm not complaining. |

[2011-04-25] A Google User: Great app, would be excellent if it had a real time ringing bit (but I guess that would be hard to implement!). Love it and so does my dad! |
