Jack London – American writer, a classic of world literature of the twentieth century. The audio version of Jack London’s stories provided here gives an opportunity to hear one of the best collections of the author, recorded in the language of the original. By that time London began to write, he had tried a dozen trades: been a tramp, a student, a sailor on a ship, joined the Socialist Party, took part in a hunger march, searched for gold in the Klondike. All these experiences have found a direct reflection in his literary activity, which is why his works are so realistic and full of genuine breath of life. The collection contains the best northern stories: Love of Life, The Story of Keesh, The White Silence, Grit of Women, The Marriage of Lit-lit, The White Man's Way, The Story of Jees Uck. The plot of the story «Love of Life» is based on the actual events in Alaska that became known to the writer through newspapers.
