Survival

ASPECTS OF LEADERSHIP. When dealing with leadership challenges in a survival situation, the foremost weapon a leader must employ is his vigilance: a leader's attention should be focused on ensuring all Marines of the unit are contributing to the overall success of the situation.

a. Cohesion. As a leader, you must ensure that all members of the team are working towards the survivability of the unit. You can not allow individuals or small groups to formulate their own goals or plan of action.

b. Self-Worth. A Marine without self-worth is a Marine who does not value living. Leadership is a critical; factor in building self-worth. Tasks must be found for each Marine in which best suits their situation while attempting to receive positive results. (i.e., A man with a broken leg can monitor the fire, A man with a broken arm can still procure water for the unit). This will make each and every Marine feel useful and not a burden to the other members, regardless of their individual situation.

c. Natural Reactions to Stress. Leadership must quickly identify natural reactions to signs of stress his Marines may be displaying (i.e., Fear, Anxiety, Guilt, Depression). Failure to recognize these signs early will result in injuries, illness, or death which will reduce the units combat effectiveness. Corrective action must be taken immediately4

d. Will to Survive. The will to survive is a mind-set that must be instilled and reinforced within all Marines. Without the will to survive, Marines will not succeed. The following tools can aid to develop this mind-set.

(1) The Code of Conduct.
(2) Pledge of Allegiance.
(3) Faith in America.
(4) Patriotic Songs
(5) Spiritual Faith.

FREE APP & ADS

This is a FREE application but please consider that it also contains Ads. I have configured it so you have two options you can change whenever you want and as you please. The idea is that you will have ONE AD TYPE OR THE OTHER, NOT BOTH, YOU CHOOSE WHICH ONE YOU PREFER IN THE MENU.

With one ad type you will have the usual BANNER that take space from the screen, that might not be a good option for small mobiles. The other option you can choose is a NOTIFICATION Ad. You will only get ONE at application start and thats all and you will have the full screen for maximum reading pleasure.

You can choose the Ad type you prefer and change it as you please. Of course, you always have the option of getting the FULL version with NO ADS at all.
My idea is that you guys can choose what you want, if you have a small screeen try notification if you have a tablet, the banner really does not disturb much. You choose!. Really hope you like this approach. Thanks !

“Singapore Prayer” is a utility application for Singapore Muslims.

The Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS) provides authoritative data for Muslim prayer times and other Islamic information in Singapore.
The prayer and fasting time data is freely available from MUIS website www.muis.gov.sg.
This application is based on the above mentioned data, but makes it little easier to browse and look-up.
Also, this application can work without internet connection as the data is stored locally.

As the application also provides fasting information (Ramadhan/Imsakiah 2011), we hope that it will be useful for a quick look-up.

“Singapore Prayer” does not require any special permissions and does not have any ads.

Linux Lazy (v. 2.2)

A quick guide to some 3112 useful Linux programs with a copy of the man page.

The database is local and static so there is no need for an internet connection to run the app. It will work even in the deepest of server rooms!

A search function is implemented with an external server. The server is located at www.linuxfunkar.se and uses TCP port 8754.
The technical reason for using an external server is performance due to the large index table needed. It would take a few minutes (or hours perhaps, I havn't really tried..) just to start the app if the index table was to be initiated locally. It would also add around 40-50MB to the app size AND 60-70MB of RAM required just to run the app.  

It is possible to search for more than one matching word by separating the words with a space or a new line.
