벌, 북극곰, 아마존, 뱀, 고래로부터 듣는 2011년 경제전망과 자연재해에 대한 메시지, 그리고 소, 돼지, 닭, 개, 침팬지에게 듣는 인간의 잔혹한 행위들을 고발하고, 마지막까지 인간에 대한 사랑을 포기하지 않는 그들의 메시지를 듣습니다.

이 책에 있는 내용은 허구가 아닙니다. 이 책에서 말하는 것은 그 목소리가 무엇이든 진실입니다. 동식물들은 그들의 메시지가 세상 속으로 널리 퍼져나가기를 간절히 고대합니다. 그들은 말합니다. 자신들이 겪는 고통은 오래지 않아 인간에게 고스란히 돌아올 것이라고…… 또한 그들은 전합니다. 인간과 자연이 함께 깨어난다면 아직 희망이 있다고…….

“지금 우리가 알고 있는 지구의 위기를
인간에게 전할 수 있다면
그 어떤 희생도 두렵지 않습니다.”
  
그들도 바다의 오염으로 환경이 너무 나빠 살 수가 없음을 알고 미래의 암담함에 빠져 있다가 결국 집단자살을 한 것입니다. 그들을 생각하면 정말 마음이 아픕니다.

그렇게라도 인간들에게 지구의 위기를 알려주려 했는데 정작 사람들은 처음엔 신기해하다가 금방 잊어버리고 다시 일상으로 돌아갑니다. 그 외 많은 동물들이 집단 죽음으로 인간에게 이 메시지를 알려주고 있습니다.

지구 곳곳에 재앙처럼 나타나는 자연재해는 면역력을 잃은 한 생명체가 복원을 위해 몸부림치는 것입니다.
살고 싶어서요….
  
우리 꿀벌과 인간 그리고 자연의 모든 동식물을 포함한 이 지구는 하나의 생명체입니다. 재앙처럼 나타나는 자연재해가 지구 곳곳에 나타나고 있는 것은 면역력을 잃은 한 생명체가 복원을 위해 몸부림치는 것입니다. 살고 싶다는 증거이지요.
  
지구 생명체의 일부인 동식물과 인간 또한 당연히 지구처럼 면역력을 많이 잃은 상태입니다. 지금 전국을 강타하고 있는 구제역과 세계를 놀라게 하고 있는 슈퍼 박테리아는 면역력을 잃은 동물과 인간들에게 언제든지 다가올 수 있는 병의 일종일 뿐입니다. 이는 인간들에게 보내는 강력한 경고입니다.

살아있는 경제지표 꿀벌님으로부터 듣는 2011년 경제 대 전망

2011년부터 한국에서는 폭우를 동반한 긴 장마로, 유럽에서는 냉해로 농작ㅁ루의 수확에 큰 타격을 입게 되어 식량난이 심해질 것입니다. 그 외에도 홍수와 가뭄이 심한 지역이 많아 식량위기가 고조될 것입니다. 더불어 석유고갈 현상이 눈앞에 다가와 석유 값은 계속해서 오를 것이며, 원자재 값의 인상과 함께 금리 또한 크게 인상될 것입니다. 결국 후반기에는 곡물 가격을 비롯하여 물가가 큰 폭으로 오를 것입니다. 서민들의 삶은 더욱 피폐해지겠지요.

지금 지구는 일촉즉발 위기의 상황입니다.
지구의 모든 생물이 알고 있는 이것을
인간만이 모르고 있습니다.

지금은 그 모든 가능성을 배제할 수 없습니다. 앞으로 지구의 어디든지 천재지변으로 인한 영향에서 벗어날 수 있는 곳은 없습니다. 이러한 상태로 계속 간다면 그 어떤 곳도요. 지구가 물에 잠기는 속도가 점점 빨라지면 반대로 혹독한 가뭄에 시달리는 곳도 늘어날 것입니다. 지금 일촉즉발의 위기 상황인데 지구에서 인간만이 모르고 있습니다. 결자해지라고 했던가요? 이 사태를 해결할 수 있는 이는 인간뿐입니다. 그래서 우리가 어떻게든 알리고 싶어 하는 것입니다.
