Avid reader of fanfiction? Organize your reading material with the Fanfiction Reader.
The application is going through a large amount of change at the moment to better introduce new features and to fix existing bugs. Please be patient while these get ironed out. I'm currently looking for some people who might be willing to beta test the application. Please let me know if you would like to do so.
If you like the app please check out the premium app. It is ad-free and will get new features 2 weeks in advance.

I appreciate the comments that are left behind, and I take all of them seriously. The biggest problem is that I have no way to communicate back. If you are experiencing any issues, please email me (mail@facingobstacles.com), or leave me a comment on my website (www.facingobstacles.com). I will be more than happy to work with you and resolve the issue. Some of the force closes maybe due to errors and corruptions in the older versions of the app (if you've been using the app for a while), one thing to try is to delete the story and download it again.

[2013-07-30] A Google User: Good It's not perfect, but it *is* being worked on. If it had been stagnant, it would've gotten a simple 3. I hope this app continues to grow :) Update: -1 star, does not load stories with non-english characters. Repro steps: browse stories>anime>scroll to any story with Kana in it's title, try to load stories. Fail. :( |

[2013-06-12] A Google User: Really useful...but I recently upgraded from a nook color to a Nook HD+. After exporting my stories on my nook color put the stories.db on my computer...however when i put it on the internal storage of the nook HD+ (which is seen as the SDCard by the Nook) It fails to open the library....I did look at the database file with notepad++ and it shows it as SQLite format 3 format....ist rather unfortunate because I've got 258 stories on my database...that i DO NOT want to redownload.this is another reason I wish the stories saved directly to the sd card....when can we see an update for this? |

[2013-06-09] A Google User: Works for me I've tried the other major free fanfic reading app. It was no where near as intuitive and easy to read as this one. Though it tends to freeze and shut down occasionally. This is my only qualm. |

[2013-06-04] A Google User: Worked on Phone Glitchy on brand new tablet Well I love this app and it works fine on my phone (2100+ stories saved on that) for some reason today it hasn't been loading up on my tablet and it has about 100+ stories on it. I don't know what is going on and it was the only app open at the time. |

[2013-05-31] A Google User: A few features short of perfection OK I'm a fan fiction addict and I wouldn't be without this app on both my phone and tablet, haven't had many glitches and it's pretty great feature-wise. Easy to use, clear interface, decent search function (wish it would tell me it has found anything because my WiFi is off mind you), day and night modes and adjustable font size.. However, I have to keep going back to 'classic' interface just for the 'add by ID' function which is an annoying waste of time also tagging one fic collapses the library list completely which means a lot of scrolling to get back to where I was if you've got as much fic as me. Would be nice if I could update all the fic not marked complete only too. In an ideal world sync between devices would make me buy the pro version. |

[2013-04-26] A Google User: Some stories won't work. if I want to read some of them: it brings me back up to the top of the list (I have a very long list). The "catagory" and "section" tabs are the same. The redownload option won't work for some reason. As of today: updating all stories takes even longer than it should have..... even if many of the fics don't have any updates it still takes 2-3 minutes to update a SINGLE CHAPTER. This might be from an update on the actual fanfiction site but I'm not sure..... I haven't been on my computer lately. |

[2013-04-01] A Google User: Awesome! But.. I absolutely love it and been having it since forever. It's a life saver and I love the fact I can read it without wifi/signal (Only if you downloaded the story, of course.) It can hold a lot and you can search half of what you want: BUT, I really wish I can get on my account since almost all my favorite stories are in there and I can easily review. Whenever I want to review, it takes me to a website saying the story doesn't exist. And big fanfics (Popular ones, with like 50+ chapters) doesn't work always. |

[2013-03-02] A Google User: Big ISSUE! My Fanfiction app cant even open! It keeps on force closing on me even when I just try to launch it. I also fear that all my stories might be lost if I uninstall it to try to get it to work again. I have over 800 stories and counting (i know that I have too much but I am a big fan). So can you please try to fix this big problem. I also would like to strongly recommend you to have a way that all the stories can be sent to the SD CARD and can be accessed and connected whenever the user opens up the fanfiction reader or classic app. No matter if the app has been uninstalled that it wont affect the stories if they were sent to the SD CARD and by possible an option to either when uninstalling if the user wants to keep the stories separately or remove together with the app. |

[2013-02-11] A Google User: Fix the Japanese title bug As someone who reads a lot of anime/manga based fanfictions, this is a good application but categories which have both titles in English and Japanese are empty. Pressing the 'Load More' button doesn't show the fanfictions in that category at all. I hope you can fix this because many titles are given in both Japanese/English such as Psycho-Pass, Magi, Kuroko no Basuke and so forth. Not being able to see the fanfictions because of this bug is rather disheartening. |

[2013-02-08] A Google User: Great! As an avid fanfiction reader, this app is perfect for me. The one thing I have to complain about is the size and the fact that I can't move this app to my SD card. I don't have enough room on my phone for this app, but I can't delete it. Please compress the size somehow and I'll give the app five stars. |

[2012-12-28] A Google User: Love it but has quirks would appreciate be fixed I still love the app. Paging by dragging often skips chapters, mostly to the next one. Also, when paging you get to the end of the story and using a dark reading background a white background shows or sometimes the writing blurs and you have to change the page and return for it to come in clear. |

[2012-12-18] A Google User: App has become slower/messier/less efficient after recent upgrades. I am an avid reader of FF n this app is one of my favs. But latest updates hv messed everything up. Update All hasnt updated 450 stories in my lib once completely since 6 Dec. (Goes for hrs w/o finishing or app crashes in the process) App crashes too much/chaps take eternity to load. Paging/dling new stories is still an issue. Reinstall hasnt helped. I hv been patient but their isnt a point in upgrading an app if its slower/less efficient/full of bugs which havent been fixed in updates to 1.51. Kindly fix. |

[2012-12-17] A Google User: Paging feature doesn't work The paging feature was really good before the new layout update, now it doesn't really work with the volume buttons, the page orders are all mixed up. Could the scrolling method scroll continuously into the next chapter? Because that would really make that feature better. Thanks. |

But hate it when an update is up, it bound to have some flaws which cause me to have to read tediously. the old paging was perfect, but the new paging cut off some word which have me flipping back and forth so I would understand the sequence. I hope it could be fixed. But I would prefer the old paging where there some space at the top and below so the words won't be mash up. |

I used to love this app so much but ever since the last few updates even before the new layout was introduced i have had trouble browsing for stories because some pages wouldnt load!! Also with the new layout i try downloading a story and all of them say to redownload it and i do and it still doesnt work! [2012-12-08] A Google User: Incredible I absolutely love this app. I use it all the time when I'm traveling, doesn't suck my battery quite as bad as when I'm on ff.net. Now, all my Harry Potter fics are sorted by pairing and its so much simple to use, with the new layout! |
