Christians too nice to give it a bad review. Don't get me wrong. It's free, it's a great translation, decent navigation system and doesn't really lag at all. But it hasn't really had any new features added since its release. -No dark/night theme. -No choice of fonts. -No in app menu key for new phones with no hardware menu key. -Glossy iOS icon is out of place on android. -No option to have navigation bar at the bottom for large phones. -Please make swiping left and right move from chapter to chapter for more versatile navigation.

Awesome but could use an update. I think this app is awesome. It's clean and intuitive. However I wish it would allow me to log in to my ESV online account so I may have my notes and highlights on multiple devices. It would also be great to have access to some of the awesome resources on ESV online. This app has been virtually the same for a couple years now while other options are improving.

Pretty good... It would be nice if there were an option to have the screen "stay awake" while reading. If I'm following along with the pastor then he adds reference for a minute my screen turns off.

Decent basic bible app but... ...it crashes like a Hollywood starlet coming off a weekend-long bender. I've tried it on several phones and it crashes on opening 50% of the time. I tolerate it, but really?

Very good I've tried many other Bible apps but always find myself returning to this one. ESV is my translation of choice and I love how easy this app is to use. I would give a full 5 stars if there was an option to change the theme/background from white only and if you could possibly add red letter edition. Otherwise,great stuff!

Simple, attractive and FREE! This isn't a study app by any means as bit doesn't have any advanced cross reference features, but it's easy to use and free. This is the bible I take to church. It's good enough to follow along with the reading and sermon and to make quick notes.

Crashes when you need it most As much as I love the ESV, using another Bible app, or even dealing with the top heaviness of Kindle is preferable. I have reported dozens of crashes. The app developers are not motivated to correct the bugs in this free app. I would PAY for an app that did not crash.

Nice app for a great translation If you're looking for a straightforward app for the excellent English Standard Version Bible, this is a great app directly from Crossway. It's easy to use thanks to the clean design. If you prefer more in-depth study features you'll probably be disappointed. If I could access from the app the Study Bible notes, Greek Tools, and any other add-ons from the main site this app would be my primary (and probably only) Bible app. I'll keep watching to see if they bring out this feature in the future.

Not a tablet app. This is no good on my Nexus 7, but I won't give it a one star because it works fine on smaller devices. On the tablet everything looks stretched, low resolution, and it lags when I move things around. To put it in simple terms. Sad, I liked the phone version.

One of the laggiest apps. I have the HTC One, one of the most powerful phones on the market, and this app is still really bad when it comes to scrolling. It is not so on the iPhone. I emailed the maker to see if there will be an update soon to address that issue. No response yet.

Awesome Very nice user interface, easy to browse to a book. I particularly like the fact that it remembers last location so you can just continue from there... Not sure why it freezes at times.

Please update sometime? This is a great app, but it literally crashes every time I open it or switch back to it from multitasking. I think I've sent a couple hundred crash reports because I use it so much and it crashes so often. It hasn't been updated in over a year and a half. I know it's free but please update sometime. Annoyed I love the simplicity of the app but it always crashes upon opening. I've used the app on 3 different phones and seen on my friends phones and same problem. Please fix. Currently using Galaxy S4 and being such a good phone, this should not be happening.
