MW Premium Dictionary It is an above average dictionary but will not pronounce words on my Sony Tablet S. All my volumes are maxed. I have an old MW electronic dictionary that will. Is this a case of devolution? Also, a quibble: someone there does not know the difference between "to" and "too". For shame! Look up vaunt and read the definition to check if I am right. "to" pridefully? Moreover, it will not stay on my desktop; keeps returning to the apps list - maddening.

Waste of money. Doesn't recognize several words you say, like Audacity, for example. Want to hear something pronounced ? Forget it... When you click on any word, like, Quality, all you hear is distortion !!! NEXUS 7 Uninstalled. Went with Dictionary... Awesome.

update a day late & a dollar short Some improvements have finally been made but problems remain. Illustrations are labeled incorrectly, unless a horse's cheek is on its hind leg and the human toes are attached to the spine. References to "number table" and "element table" are not linked to anything. Many of the usage examples are inane, e.g. "she put her hands over her eyes" under "hand". Still, for the money it's a fine Android dictionary.

RFL A terrific application. I continuously look to increase my vocabulary and this is a very handy tool to do so. I also recommend the premium version so you don't have advertisements. It is worth the money.

Brilliant I am a bit of a spelling Nazi, and this app is fantastic. Love the various features, including the pronunciation button. Useful for words one has read but not actually heard being said. Also the Word of the Day function. Today's word was, rather appropriately, Hangover. Love this app.

This is an incredible bargain. With the latest update I've just got, the pronunciation issue has been fixed. Did this app have graphic illustrations before? I did not notice until now. The description claims to have all the definitions - not all the contents of the print version; etymology is simplified and easy to read - of the Collegiate Dictionary. For less than $3.00 CAN!

Nice~! Great way to get the Definitions. I wish it was a little more flexible in Spelling when Typing. However, the Voice Search can find the words that I don't know how to Spell.

Pronunciation doesn't work[solved] Very frustrated by the pronunciation, the voice is broken and sounds horrible. Everything else is good.

Pronunciation does not work on Jelly Bean 4.1 I tried many things to fix this including clearing cache but it still does not work. The problem seems to be caused by incompatibility of the program with Android 4.1 and they are aware of this but have not fixed it yet. Please fix this.

Great except for -- now fixed -- long-standing audio bug 2012-12-28: latest update fixed the only problem. Original review: The only downside is the audio pronunciation has been broken since early summer 2012 on a Galaxy Nexus, when upgraded to Android 4.x. Since this was a key reason I paid for the premium version, I can only give 3 stars.

WOW! Sound on Nexus not Working. I definitely didn't expect it to be this fast and this good! It listens to a word, gives you options, you choose word and it will spit out proper pronunciation. I'm using Huawei androi phone which has to be the slowest android phone and works fast. The free version never installed properly, but the paid is super worth my money. Better than the $20.00 PC version because it's super accessible.I tried on my Nexus and the sound wasn't so great, but the Nexus is brand new. So, I'm sure they'll fix it eventually.

Can't see the list of suggested words Great dictionary of course, but it needs a browse function. The drop down list of suggested words gets covered up by my on screen keyboard so I can't see the full list of suggestions. This makes it difficult to find words when the spelling is in doubt.

Problems with audio pronunciation Like the app a lot. Its clean and easy to use. However, its audio pronunciation doesn't work for me. All I get is garbled sound (net connection is active). Im a bit disappointed in that. On further researching this it appears to be a Jelly Bean problem. M-W are aware of this but haven't scheduled an update to fix it.
