[2013-01-08] A Google User: The best dictionary for android |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: MW Premium Dictionary It is an above average dictionary but will not pronounce words on my Sony Tablet S. All my volumes are maxed. I have an old MW electronic dictionary that will. Is this a case of devolution? Also, a quibble: someone there does not know the difference between "to" and "too". For shame! Look up vaunt and read the definition to check if I am right. "to" pridefully? Moreover, it will not stay on my desktop; keeps returning to the apps list - maddening. |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: Not offline dictionary Sometimes says that app is not purchased and stop function when no internet connection. |

[2013-01-07] A Google User: Voice search doesn't work. Installed several times. I really give it a zero. If it doesn't do what it suppose to do, then they stole money from me. |
[2013-01-07] A Google User: grrr grrr, Google.. package file invalid. |

[2013-01-06] A Google User: Waste of money. Doesn't recognize several words you say, like Audacity, for example. Want to hear something pronounced ? Forget it... When you click on any word, like, Quality, all you hear is distortion !!! NEXUS 7 Uninstalled. Went with Dictionary... Awesome. |

[2013-01-05] A Google User: Excellent! A must-have app. Very nice UI and style. The complete style guide would be extremely helpful. |
[2013-01-05] A Google User: update a day late & a dollar short Some improvements have finally been made but problems remain. Illustrations are labeled incorrectly, unless a horse's cheek is on its hind leg and the human toes are attached to the spine. References to "number table" and "element table" are not linked to anything. Many of the usage examples are inane, e.g. "she put her hands over her eyes" under "hand". Still, for the money it's a fine Android dictionary. |
[2013-01-05] A Google User: Never disappoints Very intuitive and I love the voice search and audio. I'm completely satisfied with this app and I find myself using it everyday. |
[2013-01-05] A Google User: SGT 10.1N |
[2013-01-05] A Google User: Super useful Really handy app to have. Like permenantly carrying a comprehensive dictionary around (for a fraction of the price). I like the offline dictionary functionality; the etymology and in depth discussion of every word is neat. |

[2013-01-05] A Google User: The sound files not working properly Ever since updating to Jelly Bean, the sound files seem to have stopped working properly. |
[2013-01-05] A Google User: Good buy. Very smooth app. Just wish I could scroll through entries, like a book. But unsure if that can be done on galaxy s2. Would be really nice to look up words that I am not totally sure of spelling though. |

[2013-01-05] A Google User: RFL A terrific application. I continuously look to increase my vocabulary and this is a very handy tool to do so. I also recommend the premium version so you don't have advertisements. It is worth the money. |
[2013-01-05] A Google User: Great app I half bought this to support its development and half cause I wanted the illustrations and extra definitions. But in all the time I had the free one there was only one word I tried to find that wasn't there.Easily worth its asking price |

[2012-12-31] A Google User: Marvelous Supreme excellent Wonderful Best part is that u dont need to type each&every word u just put finger over the word &u get its meaning without typing it &no.need of internet works offline |
[2012-12-31] A Google User: Not too bad After update can no longer pinch and zoom. App loads kind of slowly. Why is there no options menu? However, good dictionary. |
[2012-12-31] A Google User: Voice input disappeared So far so good. The only issue on my galaxy nexus with jelly bean 4.2 is that l no longer see voice input icon. |
[2012-12-31] A Google User: Brilliant I am a bit of a spelling Nazi, and this app is fantastic. Love the various features, including the pronunciation button. Useful for words one has read but not actually heard being said. Also the Word of the Day function. Today's word was, rather appropriately, Hangover. Love this app. |
[2012-12-30] A Google User: Very good Its an excellent app, but when I press to hear the word Im lookin for, I only hear noise |
[2012-12-30] A Google User: Sound not smooth(sloved) Thx. for fixed the problem even if u take slightly long time. .......... I used to love this app when l had s3 but now the pronunciation is very poor. Is it because of jellybean? Ps.l use Note2 now |

[2012-12-28] A Google User: Galaxy S2 Voice search has never worked on my S2, otherwise it's cool. |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: This is an incredible bargain. With the latest update I've just got, the pronunciation issue has been fixed. Did this app have graphic illustrations before? I did not notice until now. The description claims to have all the definitions - not all the contents of the print version; etymology is simplified and easy to read - of the Collegiate Dictionary. For less than $3.00 CAN! |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Finally fixed. Pronunciation fixed on jelly bean. Great app now. |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Nice~! Great way to get the Definitions. I wish it was a little more flexible in Spelling when Typing. However, the Voice Search can find the words that I don't know how to Spell. |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Worth the $2.99 Easily, the best dictionary app. I had the free one and upgraded to the premium for the inexpensive $2.99. It has diagrams and, with the latest update providing all the modern terms' addition to the dictionary, I'm satisfied. Keep up the good work, MW, and buy this app! Worth every penny |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Very, very good! The premium version is a must. |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Samsung Galaxy Nexus Great app, been using this for years. Thanks for finally got the audio playback issues fixed to make it compatible with Jellybean. Samsung Galaxy Nexus |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Faithful partner. Never expected it to get updated. Pleasantly surprised when I saw an update for it. Dependable and useful. |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: The best This is by far the best dictionary on the market please keep up the good work. This dictionary works great on my Acer a500 tab and there is nothing I could ask for an update to this program because I can't find anything wrong with this app. |

[2012-12-28] A Google User: Pronunciation doesn't work[solved] Very frustrated by the pronunciation, the voice is broken and sounds horrible. Everything else is good. |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Pronunciation does not work on Jelly Bean 4.1 I tried many things to fix this including clearing cache but it still does not work. The problem seems to be caused by incompatibility of the program with Android 4.1 and they are aware of this but have not fixed it yet. Please fix this. |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Audio on nexus is finally fixed! Now it rocks 100%. Thanks! |

[2012-12-28] A Google User: Love it |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Top Notch . |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Great except for -- now fixed -- long-standing audio bug 2012-12-28: latest update fixed the only problem. Original review: The only downside is the audio pronunciation has been broken since early summer 2012 on a Galaxy Nexus, when upgraded to Android 4.x. Since this was a key reason I paid for the premium version, I can only give 3 stars. |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Excellent Best dictionary app |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Great app. Don't need internet or phone for dictionary. It stores it on SD CARD:-) |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Pronunciations finally work on Jelly Bean. Would be 5 stars, but I have to dock a star because I question the developers commitment for timely updates and bug fixes. |
[2012-12-27] A Google User: Rate Nice application! |
[2012-12-25] A Google User: Perfect dictionary A nice dictionary with almost every english word and very useful for everyone. Sound does not work well in jelly bean so useless for latest phones. |
[2012-12-25] A Google User: Suggestion Although I believe the app continues to be very average since it has not a lot of major differences between the free version, I'd love it had more pictures and a list of them. I quite often use it in my work environment and it would be much easier if I could see the full range of words with pictures and diagrams. |
[2012-12-24] A Google User: Sound incompatibility Not usable in Samsung galaxy S 3 nor in Samsung Note 2. Older phones ok. |
[2012-12-23] A Google User: Spoken pronunciations are garbled Otherwise, a fine dictionary. |
[2012-12-22] A Google User: Volume does not work Volume does not work on galaxy tab |
[2012-12-22] A Google User: Audio pronunciation doesn't work on my galaxie S3. It just comes out garbled. Important feature for me. I wish this this to be resolved. |
[2012-12-22] A Google User: Xlnt Dictionary Noticable difference in speed on paid version. Havent seen any pictures yet. But thats not really why I bought a Dictionary. Has a good vocabulary and works Off the cloud. |
[2012-12-22] A Google User: Pronunciation does not work I can't believe that with so many people complaining about this bug on a variety of smartphones, yet the developer still has not fixed this! Until it is fixed, pronunciation should be removed from the feature list of the application so as not to mislead customers into buying. Shame on you! |
[2012-12-21] A Google User: Can't bookmark words. Does nothing |
[2012-12-21] A Google User: Pronunciations ain't working! Wtf?! Otherwise, it's kool! |
[2012-12-20] A Google User: great for us word people see the ratings for the free version for what people think of this app. works great on galaxy nexus. the only thing I'd like to see added is a "word of the day" widget for my home screen that would auto update. update: why has the voice stopped working on both nexus 7 and galaxy nexus?? |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: Bad Installation This app took a long time to install; and then, when I tried to use it, declared that it weren't licensed. |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: gg fantastic |
[2012-12-18] A Google User: WOW! Sound on Nexus not Working. I definitely didn't expect it to be this fast and this good! It listens to a word, gives you options, you choose word and it will spit out proper pronunciation. I'm using Huawei androi phone which has to be the slowest android phone and works fast. The free version never installed properly, but the paid is super worth my money. Better than the $20.00 PC version because it's super accessible.I tried on my Nexus and the sound wasn't so great, but the Nexus is brand new. So, I'm sure they'll fix it eventually. |
[2012-12-18] A Google User: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 The read aloud feauture doesn't work on my device. Kindly fix it. Thank you. |
[2012-12-17] A Google User: SGS3 and Nexus 7 App needs to be upgraded for jelly beans, word pronunciation doesn't work on Android 4.1.1 and up. Other than that this is a winner app. |
[2012-12-15] A Google User: M-W Dictionary Premium I liked the free version so much I decided to buy the premium version. One of the most useful apps on my phone. |
[2012-12-15] A Google User: Not up to mark The pronunciation does not work on Samsung note 2..... |
[2012-12-11] A Google User: Extremely poor pronunciation. Regret my buy. |
[2012-12-10] A Google User: Cheap half-finished piece of junk. Another cheap, half-finished, 3rd rate american't product. |
[2012-12-10] A Google User: Can't see the list of suggested words Great dictionary of course, but it needs a browse function. The drop down list of suggested words gets covered up by my on screen keyboard so I can't see the full list of suggestions. This makes it difficult to find words when the spelling is in doubt. |
[2012-12-10] A Google User: When in the world are they going to fix sound problem? Please get sound problem fix d....m it |
[2012-12-09] A Google User: Problems with audio pronunciation Like the app a lot. Its clean and easy to use. However, its audio pronunciation doesn't work for me. All I get is garbled sound (net connection is active). Im a bit disappointed in that. On further researching this it appears to be a Jelly Bean problem. M-W are aware of this but haven't scheduled an update to fix it. |
[2012-12-07] A Google User: Excellent! This is a legit app. If you need a full fledged and unabridged dictionary for your droid that will work in the abscence of an internet connection, then this is for you. |
[2012-12-07] A Google User: Dictionary Now I don't have to write down words I don't know. I save them in the dictionary. |
[2012-12-07] A Google User: Knowledge in an app. The famous Merriam Webster with plenty of toyz! Nice app. Worst I can tell you is try, and enjoy it! |
