[2013-10-03] A Google User: Pretty good... Runs smoothly, I know of a few brands that aren't on these lists. It would also be great if there was a rating and comment section. For example, I've recently run out of my typical Colgate toothpaste (been vegan for 9 months, though long time vegetarian) that I didn't want to just toss my Costco supply of- waste not, want not- so I'm curious to know what ethical brand others like. Really my only complaint! :) |
[2013-10-02] A Google User: Good Its good, but as far as I can see, It doesnt have any uk company's. |
[2013-09-27] A Google User: Thank you so much for this app. Now I don't have to carry my poor battered paper copy in my purse. As a Nana to be, this app will come in handy whilst shopping for my little g-bebe! |
[2013-08-07] A Google User: *love This app is very nice and I love the fact that it does not ask for a bunch of permissions. Other apps get a little too invasive for my comfort |
[2013-05-28] A Google User: Body Shop?! At first glance I found the Body Shop on the list which sold out to L'Oreal so not an entirely cruelty free list I expected. Uninstall. |
[2013-04-28] A Google User: Needs an update This app's intent is in the right place, but without updates it's quickly become obsolete. I've gone back to just checking the Leaping Bunny site instead. Please consider some of the ideas on the reviews and update this app more actively! Thanks. |
[2013-04-05] A Google User: Awesome purpose, bad layout A search button has to be added so brands can be found easier.. Having to scroll down all the way to the brand you are loonking for is a bit outdated |
[2013-02-25] A Google User: kinda sucks this app kinda sucks. it says burts bees but their mother company is clorox. it still has urban decay listed which was sold to loreal so its no longer curelty free. :( : |
[2013-02-17] A Google User: List Incomplete The list isnt complete. Companies that sell their own brand and are BUAV approved, such as Marks and Spencer and Superdrug, arent on this list. Those are two of the bigger names in the UK so it should be made aware on this list. |
[2013-01-28] A Google User: Updates Needed It is a nifty app, however, a search bar would be amazing. I saw a barcode scanner mentioned, that would also be very helpful. I also wish that with the search bar, there was a way to submit brands that are cruelty free to the server for review. Also it would be really handy to have both cruelty free and animal tested brands, to help narrow down brands. |
[2013-01-21] A Google User: Very useful for avoiding source amnesia One of the dangers with reading and memorizing these lists of cruel and cruelty-free companies is remembering the names and forgetting which ones are good and which are bad. You'll think to yourself, "yeah, I've heard this name before- it must be okay!" Great app for avoiding this phenomenon. |
[2013-01-16] A Google User: Almost there This app is tidy and lists lost of new companies i had not heard of which is useful. I think another list which specifies companies that DO test on animals would be useful. Or a search bar where, say your in a shop considering buying something, you can type the name in and it either says cruelty free or not. Missing Lush and Superdrug Own! |
[2012-12-25] A Google User: Good concept Good set up, not too complicated. A search bar would be a great addition to the products list, making it easier to find products when shopping. Missing a lot of products and little to no products around my area, for that I personally have to delete as it is useless to my area. |
[2012-11-27] A Google User: Useless Crappy search, no scanner. |
[2012-11-26] A Google User: Too basic I'm glad to see an app to search for good businesses but this isn't enough. The search function doesn't work and there is no quick way to recognize patent companies and their practices. Hopefully this app is still being developed because it has potential. |
[2012-11-01] A Google User: Alright Its vert simple, neat and organized and so very easy to use. I just wish they would clarify their terms, as cruelty free usually means against using animal products as well as testing, but their site only specifies against animal testing. If we're looking at companies that dont use animal testing then this list is missing quite a few. |
[2012-09-24] A Google User: Opinion. People who say "I haven't heard of half of these companies this app is useless" no. NO. This app will help you LEARN about those you don't know. It's simple to use, it doesn't need to be all fancy, it's perfect so far. |
[2012-09-23] A Google User: Love the intention behind it However, I have only heard of less than a handful of these products/companies. This app doesn't do me any good in the grocery store. |
[2012-09-23] A Google User: Not for eu market I knew maybe only two of the companies. I assume this app is for the us market. I uninstalled it for that reason. |
[2012-09-21] A Google User: Cw Ok |
[2012-09-20] A Google User: Yes Yes! No animal abuse!!! - o humane society! Go peta! |
[2012-09-20] A Google User: App does what it says Could improve interface and you should put companies that are NOT cruelty free so people know what NOT to buy. Good for educating others! |
[2012-09-17] A Google User: Not bad Definitely needs some work. The user interface isn't beautiful, but it is easy to understand. It seems to be missing some companies, but that could be fixed through an update. Overall a good if basic app for seeing which companies don't test on animals. |
[2012-09-17] A Google User: Everyone should buy this app! I love how it is all in categories and is very organized. Great app! |

[2012-07-05] A Google User: Quick and easy So quick, it's perfect to use while shopping! |
[2012-06-27] A Google User: Needed Shame on companies that still test on animals! |

[2012-06-17] A Google User: UK It's good app but nothing listed for the UK, so not happy. Pls put UK app to download. |
[2012-06-11] A Google User: Needs to be updated! |
[2012-04-14] A Google User: Awesome App |
[2012-04-07] A Google User: Not really cruelty free Problem with Leaping Bunny is that they only care if a product is tested on animals. If the animal is ground up and used as an ingredient or killed in the process of creating an ingredient no matter how cruelly, it can qualify as cruelty free. Also, it cannot be moved to the SD card. |
[2012-03-18] A Google User: Good app BUT This app is good, but there are many brands not on here. Like Yes To. I love that brand, and I know for a fact it is cruelty free. Needs to update |

[2011-04-08] A Google User: Very helpful! A bar scan feature would be a nice addition. Scan the product while out shopping and the app can tell you if the product is cruelty free |
