[2013-06-06] A Google User: Good list, poor user interface It is just a list of birds that can be scrolled through. It badly needs at least a basic search facility but preferably, a search based on the salient characteristics of birds eg wing span, body and wing colors etc |

[2013-02-20] A Google User: informative and fun only just got into birdwatching, but this is a useful little tool when you're sat in your chair in-between sightings, listening to the sample calls. they're not all perfect recordings, especially as some birds have varying calls, and a bird book tends to be a lot more informative and accurate, but it's a decent starter for very little money, has interesting features and will occasionally illicit a call back from a bird. well, i say that, it might just be another bird laughing or cursing at my pitiful phone-based attempt at communication, but it keeps me happy. my only concern is that it takes up a lot of internal memory on my phone. oh, and it confuses the cat sometimes. |

[2012-10-18] A Google User: Good value app with a fatal flaw The app itself is great with lots of good photos and sound recordings. Unfortunately all the media make it quite memory hungry and as the developer has chosen to enable copy protection it can't be transferred to SD card to free up space on the phone. Pity as I'd probably have given it five stars but this makes it mostly unavailable on my phone. |
