ஆத்திச்சூடி (AA-thi-chOO-di) comprises of 109 single-line maxims. It was composed by the great old Tamil Poetess Auvaiyaar, who belonged to the last Sangam era. Aathichudi is part of the Ethical Books collection from Auvaiyaar.
This application provides a categorized view of the maxims and a home screen widget that displays an aathichudi every 30 minutes.

[2013-01-09] A Google User: Nothing Special I was hoping to see easy understanding of meanings. But was very disappointed. The aathichudi is wrong in some places (ஈவது விலக்கேல் - தவறு, ஈவது விளக்கேல் - சரி). Meanings are flat out wrong for some (e.g. ஆறுவது சினம்). Very difficult to understand for some (ஊக்கமது கைவிடேல்). If all we are going to see is a list with meanings at least the meanings could be accurate! |
