99 Ways to Not KILL Your Horse (v. 1.0)

I have been asked many times what it takes to win an Olympic Silver medal in Equestrian. I now have the first piece of advice to offer: don’t kill your horse! It is hard enough to train a horse to reach that level of competition and therefore a real bummer if they don’t get there in one piece. Those loveable equines are good enough on their own at finding ways for their demise even if we do everything correctly, so by all means don’t help them in their quest for self-destruction by doing anything stupid! In all honesty whether it is the first nine rules of good feeding practices that we learn as pony clubbers or a degree in veterinary medicine, basic horse husbandry hasn’t changed much and is really governed by a few simple rules. Most are common sense and a few are unique for the equine population. “99 ways” is a necessity for those new to horse ownership and also a great reminder for those of us that have owned horses longer than we can remember leaning how to read. Do the most important equine in your life a favor and pass this book on to a friend and then give your horse a pat and thank him for going one more day without kicking the bucket.
