■ 반려견 영양진단프로그램(애견사료열량계산기)는?
본 프로그램은 건식애견사료의 에너지함량과 반려견의 에너지 요구량을 추정하여, 적정급여량을 설정하기 위한 정보를 제공 등을 목적으로 제작했습니다.

본 프로그램의 에너지함량 계산은 미국 AAFCO의 영양소 함량 기준을 충족하는 완전균형 건식사료에만 적용가능하며, 반려견의 에너지요구량의 계산식은 미국 NRC 및 관련 문헌에 근거하였습니다.

■ 사용시 주의사항
애견사료 열량계산기에서 제공하는 급여량 값은 애견에게 급여해야할 가장 기본적인 수준의 급여량입니다. 품종, 운동량과 사료 영양소 함량 등 다양한 요인에 따라 실제 급여량에는 차이가 있을 수 있습니다. 따라서 본 프로그램에서 제시하는 권장량은 참고값으로 활용하시기 바라며, 프로그램 사용 과정에서 발생한 문제에 대해서는 책임을 지지 않습니다.

○ 기본값 입력요령
사용자가 입력하는 값들 중 사료의 영양 성분은 포장에 표시된 것을 그대로 입력하시고, 반려견에 대한 입력사항인 체중과 자견 또는 성견여부를 입력하시면 됩니다. 자견과 성견의 구분 기준은 소형견은 9개월령, 중대형견은 15개월 이상정도로 구분할 수 있습니다. 자견의 경우 예상 성숙체중을 입력해야하는 데, 이때에는 품종별 평균체중범위를 참조하시기 바랍니다. 입력창에 있는 물음표 버튼을 누르시면 해당 값 등에 대한 보다 자세한 내용을 보실 수 있습니다.

○ 급여량을 조절하는 법
계산된 일일 급여량을 기준으로 분변의 상태를 확인해가면서 급여량을 늘려주시는 것이 바람직합니다. 분변 상태는 휴지로 분변을 쉽게 집어낼 수 있고 바닥에 묻어나지 않는 정도가 가장 좋은 상태입니다.

○ 종이컵으로 애견사료 재는 법
사료량은 저울을 이용하는 것이 가장 정확하지만, 없는 경우 종이컵으로 대략적으로 잴 수 있습니다. 직경 8mm내외의 작은 알갱이 형태의 사료는 자동판매기용 컵에 약 100g정도가 담깁니다. 만일 알갱이가 크고 가벼운 사료들은 100g이 담기기 어려운 경우도 있으니 주의하시기 바랍니다.

○ 비만도 측정
반려견에서는 사람처럼 키와 체중으로 비만도를 계산하는 방법이 아쉽게도 개발이 아직 되지 않았습니다. 어플리케이션내 그림에서 보는 바와 같이 위와 옆에서 허리의 만곡을 관찰하거나, 갈비뼈 부위를 만질 때의 촉감으로 비만여부를 판단하게 됩니다.
